Runway to Hope, Downs Syndrome Association of Central Florida and Franklin’s Friends are being honored at National Philanthropy Day as an Orlando Magic Youth Foundation Creating Change Honoree. This honor is presented to nonprofit organizations that successfully strengthens and empowers a specific demographic or population in Central Florida.
“To much is given, much is expected,” said Mark NeJame as Mark and Josie NeJame, Founders of Runway To Hope, shared their philosophy of giving. Since 2010, Runway to Hope’s mission has been to provide direct support and aid to Central Florida children and their families impacted by pediatric cancer and have raised over $6.5 million to support this mission.
Downs Syndrome Association of Central Florida provides services to individuals with Down syndrome, their parents, their siblings, and community partners. By showing the community that individuals with Down syndrome are just as capable and in fact, very valuable members of our community, the DSACF advocates in a very impactful way.
