Hi! I’m Mary Lee. I’m a fundraiser.
The Association of Fundraising Professionals Central Florida Chapter is my support group. I am proud to serve as President for 2017.
The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) empowers individuals and organizations to practice ethical fundraising through professional education, networking, research and advocacy. Discover the amazing resources available to you when you sign-in to the AFP International website and be sure to check out the Resource Center for practice tools, research, statistics, member directory and so much more. Though education and a sharing of resources, AFP promote the highest standards of service and ethics as demonstrated time and time again by Central Florida members.
AFP Central Florida Chapter board leaders are committed to offering programs which meet the needs of our local non-profit community, regardless of your experience level or time in the non-profit world. AFP Central Florida is as a Ten Star Chapter, meeting benchmarks of chapter management best practices, and is honored to have earned the AFP “Friends of Diversity” status. Collaboration events are held with the Edyth Bush Institute, the Charitable Gift Planners of Central Florida Council and the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Central Florida.

The AFP Central Florida Chapter offers a web conference series featuring nationally recognized expertise (six a year free for members), and continued opportunities for growth through Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) studies and professional development through mentorships. Membership scholarships are offered for new members, renewing members, collegiate chapter members, young leaders, and the Chamberlin Scholarship is awarded to a current member to attend the International Conference. Our chapter also supports collegiate chapters at Rollins College and the University of Central Florida. Our members consistently tell us that while the educational program offerings are top notch, and the networking with other professionals is one of the top reasons they keep coming back.
If you are already a member, thank you! If you are not currently a member, please join us for lunch and a networking session. As a member, you not only receive local benefits, but you will tap into a greater platform of resources through AFP International. Learn for yourself why AFP Central Florida is the chapter that sizzles as the hottest chapter in the nation.
Hank Rosso, author of Achieving Excellence in Fundraising, called fundraising, “the gentle art of teaching others the joy of giving.” Go forth and teach others the joy of giving.
